Milford Sound
Often fondly referred to as the 8th Wonder of the World, you simply can’t come this close to Milford Sound and not visit. Have your breath taken away by the waterfalls cascading down the granite cliffs, while Mitre Peak stands tall and proud at the entrance to the Sound.
The road to Milford Sound is dramatic and changes around every corner, the Mirror Lakes and the Chasm are standout highlights. The return trip from Queenstown will take around 10-12 hours total, including your cruise and some scenic photo stops

Whatever option you go with; Mitre Peak Cruises is a must. They run intimate 2 hour cruises on the sound. Their boats that have been specifically designed to get you closer to everything, they also have a lower capacity than others.
