We are so excited to have you stay with us at Driftaway and experience everything our Queenstown lakefront campground has to offer. Driftaway Queenstown has a wide range of powered and non-powered sites available. Whether you have a tent, motorhome or caravan, there is a site perfect for your needs.
All camping site fees include unlimited free WiFi, as well as access to our beautiful Facility hub which has breathtaking views of the lake and mountains.
During the booking process you will have the option to select from the following options. We recommend booking the Lakeview powered sites, the views from here are extraordinary.
Please note Driftaway Queenstown is fully fenced for security and therefore there is no lakefront access from the front of our property. Frankton Beach is accessible just outside our gates.
- Grass Unpowered Sites: Designed for tents or small self‑contained setups, these non‑powered grass sites suit vehicles under 6 metres or a tent and car combination. Set within the park grounds and close to the Facility Hub, each site accommodates up to 3 guests, with access to shared kitchens, bathrooms, and communal spaces.
- Powered Sites: Suitable for caravans, campervans, or motorhomes under 8.5 metres, these powered sites provide convenient access to electricity and park facilities. With generous space for outdoor living and easy access to the Facility Hub, each site comfortably accommodates up to 6 guests.
- Premium Lake View Powered Sites: These powered sites offer elevated positions across the park, providing scenic lake and mountain outlooks. Designed for caravans or motorhomes under 8.5 metres, each site includes power and access to modern communal facilities, comfortably accommodating up to 6 guests while enjoying one of the park’s most desirable settings. Please note these are lakeview sites, not lakeside or lakefront sites.
- Premium Large Powered Sites: Offering extra space for larger camping setups, these premium powered sites are ideal for caravans, campervans, or motorhomes requiring additional room. With access to power and shared facilities, each site accommodates up to 6 guests, providing a more spacious and flexible camping experience.
Tents: Please note we have a limited number of grass sites available. If you are wanting to book a site suitable for a tent then this is available by email or phone inquiry only to ensure we have the appropriate sized site available.
Families: For families we recommend booking a standard powered site as these are the closest to the children's play facilities and also our facility hub.
Motorhomes/caravans over 8.5m: Please contact us for availability to ensure we have one of our extra large sites available. We have a limited number of these available.
We do not have parking for boats/trailers or extra vehicles.
